Kai-Ting is Taiwanese but grew up in Saudi Arabia. Nick is Italian American. They met in law school and are both busy, busy attorneys living in Manhattan. They wanted a destination wedding in Southern California but also desired a subtle French feeling brought into the day as Kai-Ting adores Paris and that is where they honeymooned.

The Casa Romantica Cultural Center in San Clemente fit their aesthetic perfectly! A beautiful white stucco Spanish California building with a slightly European feel to it and incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and San Clemente Pier was the perfect location to host an intimate wedding of 60 guests.

The invitations were custom designed by Jill Velez of CopperWillow and featured a blind letterpress of the Pier along with wavy gray calligraphy designed to mimic ocean waves.

The ceremony was held outside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Vintage Persian rugs created the space for the couple to stand on as they said their vows. Kai-Ting wore a Monique Lhullier dress and Valentino shoes.

Cocktail hour was held inside the Cultural Center and guests found their escort cards on a table decorated with potted mint and candles. Vintage cream, white, and gold furniture from Found Rentals were the perfect accessory to the sparkling chandelier.

For dinner, guests were escorted to the lawn where long tables were set with raw linen tablecloths, white flowers in silver and cut crystal vases, oregano sprigs on the napkins, and taper and pillar candles. Bistro lights twinkled overhead.

After a delicious dinner from Iva Lee’s Catering, guests were escorted back inside to dance the night away on the black and white checkered dancefloor.
