That’s right! This week, we revealed that Nira sold the company to lead planner, Debby Boh. (To stay up-to-date on all of the excitement, subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Instagram.) The responses were of both shock and ecstatic-ness. We just have to say–THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for all of the love and support during this transition. We hope you continue to follow us as we design, plan, and execute luxury weddings and events, and bring you content that’s worth the read, watch, and listen.
Of course, words can’t describe how much we’ll miss the one and only Nira Fisher. She has been the best boss babe; a fierce leader to this ever-growing group of girls. She created a true identity in Amber Events, and other wedding professionals couldn’t help but notice her charisma, vulnerability, and… hair! We are forever indebted to Nira. She will continually influence and shape what we do, even away from the company.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned as the owner of Amber events, as the lead wedding planner?
I’ve learned so much… Oh my goodness. Actually, Debby was asking me this. When I sold her the company, she said, “Now that we’ve signed the paperwork, what’s your advice?” And it’s kind of a similar question. I think for me, it’s–don’t make decisions based on fear. In so many occasions with previous clients or vendors, or business in general, I was afraid because I didn’t know enough about something. Or, I was afraid that if that person wasn’t going to be happy in that transaction, I might get a bad Yelp review or threatened with a lawsuit, even though I didn’t know if I was even breaking the law. I just, did a lot of things based out of fear. And I think that’s the worst way to do things because it really suppresses you or any growth. The best think to do is just release that… release those chains, push through that moment, so you’re not afraid. That’s probably the hardest thing to do because there are so many unknown circumstances that will happen in this industry.
