The union of two families is so beautiful, isn’t it? Anita, of Indian descent, and Matt, of Jewish descent, had fallen in love and decided to honor both of their families’ traditions in one single weekend.
First stop: Malibu West Beach Club, where family and friends came dressed in traditional Indian garments. The evening included a baraat, during which the groom processes to the venue atop a white horse, accompanied by his family and friends. It’s basically a walking dance party, complete with DJ and drums! The wedding ceremony was stunning, with Anita in her bold, red dress and the ocean as the background. The ceremony was also, of course, bookended with romantic strolls on the beach.
The following day was spent at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, where some of Matt’s family traditions took center stage. This day’s ceremony was held under a Jewish chuppah and included the breaking of the glass, a tribute to the Jerusalem Temple. The reception was held on the other side of the property’s mansion, where the team from The Enchanted Florist had decorated in deep shades of maroon, fuchsia, and purple. A second night of dancing, and the two were made complete.
