Happy Engagement Season! Alexandra from Aerialist Press & Foiled Invitations here. A big thank you the Amber Events team for having us guest post with them today.
If you’re reading along here, you’re likely just getting your toes wet in the beginning stages of planning your wedding. There’s nothing quite like seeing your color palette come together, connecting with your favorite vendors and enjoying all those celebratory champagne toasts. As you dive a little further, and the timeline starts to get more real (we’ve been there!), you’ll notice new questions start to pop up.
One question that will surface fairly quickly is how to word that beautiful invitation you so carefully selected. If you’re like most couples, you’ll start to wonder about which parents’ names get included, how to note the attire preference and how to spell the year out properly – sound familiar?
Since not everyone is interested in becoming the next Emily Post, our divine team of etiquette and design aficionados created an easy to use info-graphic and guide to provide you with a better understanding of the traditional guidelines that makeup a wedding invitation. Our goal was to alleviate any concerns of whether or not your wording falls within the proper etiquette rules. We wanted this process to be as fun as those fancy cake tastings! A section of tips and tricks was also added to shed some light around the different attire options, and whether you need an extra reception card.
In need of a little extra guidance? We created a full list of 21 wording examples for every celebration style we could think of. You can take a peek at the full post up on the Aerialist Press blog. We are also happy to answer any other questions you might have in the comments!
Thank you, Aerialist Press! It’s been a pleasure!
