Happy Friday, everyone! How’s that summer body coming along? đ As promised, we’ve got the inside scoop from co-founder of LIT Method, Taylor Gainor. Read on for her engagement story to other co-founder, Justin Norris, plus tips on preparing for a photo shoot!
Congrats on the engagement! How did you and Justin meet?
We met at the gym… I knowâhow clichĂ©. We were both working as private personal trainers at a small boutique gym in Beverly Hills. This is where it all started… We will spare you all the mushy-gushy details, but from there we joined forces as personal trainers specializing in rehabilitated injuries. Our business began to grow so rapidly that we were no longer able to take on any more clients. We decided that in order to reach a larger audience we had to expand to group classes. Thus LIT Method was born!
Will you tell us how he proposed?
We were watching the sunset in Laguna Beach and drinking champagne on top of this massive hill on the Montage Resort beach. We were all by ourselves, when this hiker randomly hiked up the hill to take a picture of the sunset. Justin asked her to take a photo of us, so we had to stand up. When he did, he turned around and dropped onto one knee! It was perfect.
Tell us a little bit about your dream wedding.
My dream wedding is something romantic, beachy, and super intimate with just our close friends and family.
How do you prepare for a photo shoot?
My go-to before a photo shoot would be to stay away from dairy, lots of sweets and artificial sugars, and anything that is heavy in carbs (i.e. simple carbs like white bread, doughnuts, and cookies) a couple days before the shoot. Kale and really green vegetables are also some things I wouldn’t particularly eat right before a shoot because they can tend to bloat you.
How do you see yourselves and your business in five years?
This business has been an adventure, and it will continue to be an adventure. There is no telling where this journey will take us in five years… All I can say is that we are going to change the way people approach fitness and continue to change and impact peoplesâ lives.
Thanks, Taylor!
