Yesterday we featured some pretty photos of Jaci & Nick’s Saddlerock Ranch wedding that was featured on Style Me Pretty, and today we have a few answers to share from their post wedding survey. Thank you, Jacki & Nick! You were a joy to work with!

What was the best part of your wedding day?
The best part of our wedding day was our first look. When we began to discuss the idea of doing a “first look” I specifically remember Nick asking me, “Wait, you mean I could see you? Before the craziness? Just the two of us? Psh, let’s do it!” The hour we spent together before the ceremony was extremely intimate, romantic and FUN! It was gave us time to connect and soak in the day.
What was unexpected that you loved?
Jaci: Nick getting emotional during our vows. I love my husband.
Nick: Seeing how beautiful everything was when it finally came together.
What are your fondest memories of your wedding day?
There are so many! Just to name a few–our wedding processional music was written by Jaci’s sister and was a highlight of our ceremony along with saying the vows we had written together (we highly recommend writing your own vows!). We absolutely loved watching our wedding party introductions (each to their own song and DANCE!) during the reception. But, the fondest memories we have of our wedding day are simply eating the incredible food we hand selected, dancing the night away in joyful celebration, and feeling the love and support of every guest and family member.
Were there any unexpected surprises or issues?
Nope, our wedding ran flawlessly—the timing of the day was excellent! Thank you, Amber!!!
What’s your number #1 tip for future engaged couples?
Our tip is this: stop trying to be perfect and just be yourselves. We feel like our world constantly pressures engaged couples to look a certain way, act a certain way, and ultimately obtain perfection on the wedding day. That can be a lot of pressure! Surround yourselves with people who know you and who will help you plan a celebration that will suit the two of you. Amber was an excellent resource when it came to envisioning a celebration that was uniquely “Jaci and Nick”—this was helpful when the nitty-gritty planning became overwhelming. Remember to plan not only the wedding day, but also your marriage! Promising a lifetime with your best friend is the most important part of your wedding day and therefore should be the most important (and fun!) element of engagement. J
How did you feel after the wedding?
Bliss.
