Remember Sara & Eli’s Pre-Wedding Carnival? Well, here’s the follow-up of their actual wedding day, photographed by the magnificent Miki & Sonja. Located in the Santa Monica Mountains, King Gillette Ranch is home to a 1920s mansion, the setting for this elegant, yet rustic wedding.
It was in the details. From the DIY watercolored invitations (that inspired this project) to the “naked” cake, the individual elements of this wedding were non-fussy, but they truly came together to create something special.
The ceremony was held just beyond the mansion, underneath a massive oak tree. The aisle was lined with imperfectly perfect strands of greenery, fashioned by our good friend, Susan, at Peony & Plum. The couple’s beloved poodle, Bagel (featured in their “save the date” card), was also accompanied down the aisle, before Sara was revealed in a classic trumpet-style gown.
The sunset became the most picturesque backdrop for the reception to begin in the courtyard. At the center, a gentle fountain set the tone for a serene evening. Sara and Eli’s guests were treated to not one, but two food stations, followed by s’mores, ice cream, and of course, a whole lot of dancing.
