Hello and Happy Thursday! We’re so excited to share with you the following wedding–we love how the pictures turned out! And oh, how it has us craving summer…
Alison and Zach first met in Nantucket at the esteemed drinking establishment, The Chicken Box. Ali was there for a bachelorette party, while Zach was living there at the time. After charming each other from across the bar, Zach got Ali to agree to just one drink together. The sparks ignited six months of long distance dating involving plenty of planes, trains… and boats! From the very beginning moments until today, their relationship has embodied adventure, fun, and most importantly, an endless amount of love. Embodying this sentiment, they decided to move across the country to the coast of California, where they have built a beautiful life together. They’ve filled the past four years filled with early morning surf sessions for Zach, beach lounging for Ali, and snuggles with Millie, their dog named after one of their first dates. It was clear that their wedding goals were to represent no less than the adventurous, California dreamin’, bright, laughter-filled, and fearless love that Ali and Zach exude.
With the majority of their guests traveling from all over the East Coast to Malibu, California, we set out to create a memorable wedding weekend for all, kicking off with a stellar welcome party the night before in Venice Beach. Think bottomless margaritas, mexican beers with custom art monogrammed cozies, and of course, a taco cart. The after-party traveled to Loew’s Hotel in Santa Monica for bonfire-side cocktails and conversation. The big day came all too soon, filled with love and excitement. Ali and Zach had their first look on the iconic Malibu Pier with their loved ones watching from a far.
Guests arrived at Adamson House welcomed by the rose garden overlooking the ceremony site on Sycamore Lawn. An inviting pathway lead folks to an eye-catching view of the surf to mingle under sun and shade, with a glass of champagne in hand! With Zach’s sister officiating their union, the couple wed under Adamson House’s majestic sycamore tree with a swooping low hanging branch adorned with a tropical botanical garland crafted by florist Little Branch. For cocktail hour, guests mingled in Adamson House’s courtyard directly facing the beach, enjoying appetizers and drinks by Huntington Catering as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. During dusk, guests found their way around the corner of Adamson House to Star Fountain Lawn for a romantic and intimate reception. The night was filled with touching stories, laughter, and sentiment. Ali and Zach surprised their guests with an assorted cigar bar, Mexican blankets to stay warm, and flips flops for dancing feet. It was no surprise we found the dance floor packed and full of energetic love.
