Wedding planner, cool aunt of little Texans, lover of all things love, and obsessed with espresso.

 I also first met Molly, at the intern training evening, where we made large paper flowers to decorate the barn and assembled welcome bags for guests. It was a great time to bond with the girls, but even better yet, to bond with Molly who shadowed me for most of the wedding day. Together we worked as bridal attendants for Hillary and her girls: getting them all lunch, moving them along the timeline of the day, and arranging golf carts to transport our vip couple to secluded areas for photos.  Molly it was a pleasure working side by side with you on Hillary and Weston’s Ojai Wedding! {nira}

How did you learn about Interning or Assisting for Amber Events?

Amber came to speak at my school for a club that I am in. Then I received an email from the club president asking for interns for this wedding. I then offered to intern and I was lucky enough to become an intern.

Tell us about yourself and how it relates to the wedding industry.

I am someone who likes to pay attention to detail, which is something that it important in the wedding industry. I am also very organized which is essential to being part of the wedding industry. I also like to think that I am a hard worker and am not afraid of a challenge.

What tasks did you complete for this wedding?

For the rehearsal dinner, I helped put together the welcome bags and then helped deliver them. Then I assisted in decorating the barn where the dinner took place. For the wedding, I was a bridal assistant, where I aided the bride in whatever she needed.

What surprised you?

How smooth everything ran. I was honestly expecting some hectic and stressful moments but because everything was planned out so well, everything was more likely ahead of schedule.

What is your favorite part of this wedding?

I was lucky enough to see Wes when he first saw Hillary in her wedding dress. It was just a beautiful moment seeing their reactions.

What shoes did you wear?

I wore cowboy boots for the rehearsal dinner and Toms for the wedding.

The uniform for the Amber Events staff is a black button down shirt and slacks.

What did you do to Jazz up your look? I wore a red bow in my hair both nights. I wore cowboy boots during the rehearsal dinner to go with the mood in the barn. I also wore a red tank top underneath the button up shirt to add some color.

What is your favorite wedding scene from a movie?

It is a tie between the wedding scene from Sound of Music and the wedding in A Walk to Remember.

Do you have any words for anyone wanting to join the wedding industry?

Do not be afraid to put yourself out there and just really be ready to work hard.

Final Comments?

I really enjoyed this experience and I am really glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it. (And I am not just saying this to say it, I truly mean it)
