Kristen was a great addition to the beautiful yet logistically challenging wedding that took place at a private home in Pasadena. Everything had to be brought in and even constructed on site. How did you learn about Interning or Assisting for Amber Events?
The Collins College at Cal Poly Pomona
Tell us about yourself and how it relates to the wedding industry.
I’m a hospitality management student with an eye for detail. I’m interested in going into event planning and I feel that no two events are alike which will always keep me on my toes- coming up with new ideas and meeting new people.
What tasks did you complete for this wedding?
I set up the cocktail hour and reception tables, making sure we had the seating chart down to a tee.
What surprised you?
What surprised me was how fast time sped up right before the guests were going to arrive.
What is your favorite part of this wedding?
My favorite part was seeing all the guests dance. It looked like they were having so much fun!
What shoes did you wear?
Black flats
The uniform for the Amber Events staff is a black button down shirt and slacks. What did you do to Jazz up your look?
To jazz up my black on black look, I wore jeweled hair clips.
What is your favorite wedding scene from a movie?
The scene from Runaway Bride where she’s running away!
Do you have any words for anyone wanting to join the wedding industry?
You’ll be the first to arrive and last to leave. Be prepared and you really can’t miss a beat, every detail matters.
