What a rush! The holidays can certainly be hectic; we hope you’ve found time to relax with loved ones this season…
…and give back a little! Welcome to part three of THE SPIRIT OF GIVING, our holiday-styled photoshoot featuring businesses and organizations that give back to the community. If you haven’t already, check out parts one and two for some inspiration on hosting a holiday event friendly to the environment! It’s easy to create a lot of waste, especially at this time, but using bio-degradable/recyclable/sustainable materials truly pays off.
Now you may be dealing with leftovers. Leftover food, wrapping paper… florals perhaps? Our featured florist, Tara Grand from By the Bloom (who created our centerpiece and wreath from part two), dressed us in fresh floral jewelry! We think it’s a fantastic way to extend the use of your florals, and a truly unique and stylish way to accessorize any outfit. Just pick up some wire and metal pieces from your local craft store, and get creative!
What about those gifts you received this year, that mmmaybe don’t exactly fit into your lifestyle? Think of those in your local community who are in need and consider making a donation. Not pictured here: the AE team each brought shoeboxes full of toys and essentials to donate to Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is an initiative by Samaritan’s Purse, an organization that provides spiritual and physical aid to those in need all over the world. And it’s never too late to donate! Operation Christmas Child welcomes donations year-round.
We’re wrapping this series and the entire year up well wishes from our family to yours. Whether you’re staying local or traveling, stay safe! We thank you so much for joining us this week, and hope you’ll continue to join us in 2016. We are so grateful to have your support and will keep you in mind as we reflect on this past year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Love, The Amber Events Team (+ Stitch!)
